THE FIVE ELEMENTS RETREAT
SUNDAY 25 OCTOBER 2026
10.30am - 4.30pm
THE OAK HOUSE STUDIO, HATFIELD HOUSE
Ayurveda • Elemental Vinyasa • Yin • Pranayama
The Five Elements is an immersive day exploring Yoga through movement, philosophy, Ayurveda, breath, meditation and deep rest.
Using space, air, fire, water and earth as the thread running through the day, we explore how these elemental qualities can be experienced through the body and how the ancient sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda can help us understand ourselves more deeply.

EXPLORE THE PRACTICES
Movement:
Elemental Mandala Vinyasa
Led by Dr Leilani Lucas, this 75-minute flowing Mandala Vinyasa practice invites us to experience elemental qualities through the body. Moving in a circular, breath-led practice, we explore qualities of grounding, fluidity, transformation, movement and spaciousness.
We begin the day by experiencing before analysing.
Beyond Asana:
Yoga Philosophy • Ayurveda • The Five Elements
With Gina Clements, we step beyond the idea of Yoga as simply physical posture and explore its wider philosophical landscape.

Discover the pancha mahabhutas - the five great elements:
-
Akasa - Space
-
Vayu - Air
-
Agni / Tejas — Fire
-
Jala / Apas — Water
-
Prithvi - Earth
We explore how these qualities exist within nature, body and mind and how they combine to form the Ayurvedic doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Yoga philosophy becomes not simply something ancient to learn about, but a practical framework for understanding ourselves and how we live.
Your Mind-Body Constitution (dosha). We then bring the philosophy back to you.
Through an interactive exploration of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, begin to recognise your natural tendencies and what changes when those qualities move away from balance.
Ayurveda offers us a language for greater self-understanding - not another way of putting ourselves into boxes.
Rest & Replenish:
Pranayama • Yin

The final part of your day with Kanta, turns increasingly inward.

Breathwork (pranayama) leads us towards meditation and stillness, before moving into the deeply restorative practice of Yin.

A spacious 75-minute session allows us to move gradually from doing towards being, giving the experiences and insights of the day time to settle and integrate.
